THE hair colour trend for Autumn

Haug London Haus Creative Director, Siobhan Haug shares her thoughts on the hair colour trend we will be seeing in glossy magazines and all over social media this Autumn.

NATURAL RADIANCE

“Post-summer, hair can be a little parched, overly light and will have lost a bit of its sparkle.

The overarching trend that we will be craving for our hair is Natural Radiance.

Hair with natural radiance has a soft warm glow, it’s supple and well hydrated. It’s hair that’s delicately illuminated and has a healthy dose of shine and gloss to see us through those first months of Autumn.”

By the end of the glorious summer months, your hair colour could be starting to look a little brassy or feel brittle and frizz prone thanks to the sun’s UV rays, so what can we do to bring back the hair’s natural radiance?

Firstly, book a colour consultation! During your consultation, your Haug London Haus colourist will talk to you about the shades that you’ve seen reflected within your hair over the years and the colours that have made you feel amazing.  This doesn’t have to apply solely to hair colour, make up is a really a good reference point for deciding what colour palettes suit you best and what undertones you are drawn to. Our experts will then expertly blend and weave some of those individual natural nuances of tone that make your hair unique in amongst your new salon colour.

Some of the autumnal shades that we love to create for our clients are honey blonde strands of illumination woven amongst a caramel balayage. Auburn toned baby-lights set against a velvet brunette base or creamy milk blondes that are softly blurred together using a combination of similar tones on varying depths.

Whatever it is, we’ll work with you to find your unique combination of shades.

True radiance starts from within. For hair, priming it prior to colour will create an even, smooth surface to start your hair glow up from.

Our in-salon primer is a vitamin c shot for your hair. It’s from our premium blonde range Blonde Me by Schwarzkopf Professional and it can be used before colouring your hair to remove mineral residues and counteract metallic tones that might have built up over the summer months.

For hair that’s really thirsty, you can also double up on hydration by plumping your hair after a colour service with an exclusive in-salon hair treatment.  Designed to last up to 60 washes, the individually mixed Fibre Clinix masks create supple, nourished hair that will encourage your colour to last in whilst bathing it in haircare goodness.

How do our in-salon treatments work?

Firstly, we cleanse your hair with a shampoo from our Fibre Clinix range that’s tailored to your hairs specific needs. Whether that’s Fortify, Tame, Hydrate or Vibrance for colour, we’ll talk to you about what we are using and why its best for your hair type. We can also tailor make the cleansing stage to meet your scalps specific needs with our range of Scalp Clinix shampoos designed to help soothe, protect and maintain the all important microbiome balance of the scalp.

Next, we mix your bespoke mask, using the famous tri-bond technology within the Schwarzkopf Professional Fibre Clinix’s treatments before wrapping your hair in a hot towel. The steam infused with essential oils in the hot towel slightly raise the hair’s cuticle, encouraging your conditioning treatment to penetrate deeper into the hair. This helps create a longer lasting result, plus, the warmth from the hot towel feels gorgeous!
